Get ready to sip and savor because Happy Hour is this Sunday with Malibu Rum's finest concoctions! 🎉 I mean, who wouldn't want the ultimate Christmas surprise? Two lucky patrons will snag the title of Baby Gronk or Livvy Dunne's new bar buddy. Talk about best Christmas present ever!

New pics of them will be posted today and tomorrow. They'll be sober and ready for their new bars between December 14-22, after a round of shots (the vet kind, not tequila) and another thorough check-up.

Brandy's kittens have a Happy Hour planned when they've matured 3-4 more weeks. They just turned 5 weeks today. Patience, my catnip connoisseurs!

Meanwhile, Guinness is brewing up something special, ...with a due date as early as December 1st. Fingers crossed that everything goes smoothly because her pints have a way of making patrons extra thirsty and bar fights have been known to break out over them.

We also will begin looking for a home for Brandy as she was fixed and had a full evaluation by our vets a few days ago. She's ready to be treated like a queen at a qualified bar. She will only be $700-1000 ...and she literally just turned 1. Please email me your interest with a picture of you, maybe of your home or where she will be spending most of her day, and a little about why your home may be purrfect for her. She is a nice sized girl who is easy going and sweet ...and I think can adapt in any home but will need time and encouragement to feel it's safe. She has completely shed her coat due to just having kittens, but I think she will have a full head of hair by spring!

Cheers to the feline festivities ahead!

I know many of you have been waiting on the Bar News, but my time has been dedicated to tube feeding Malibu Rum's pints every 2-3 hours around the clock. They are small and not thriving as much as I'd like them to be at this point. Baby Gronk being the one I am most hopeful for at this point. Tube feeding is fairly easy, but unlike breastfeeding a child... I can't turn to my side, whip my boob out, and feed without ever leaving my bed. It means I'm getting up, heating some water up just to make formula, turning on the light... and then wrapping them up like a burrito, and feeding them. It becomes draining after the first night... trust me. So... I will not actively be trying to post pictures of them until they are 4-6 weeks of age to cause the least amount of stress. Hopefully by then they will be strong, and I have good news to report.

MALIBU RUM will be looking for a new bar. - Her late nights teasing the top shelf males here have come to a close. She will be looking for a bar where she is the head queen, top lush, and joker of the home. If you've been here long enough then you already know SHE is my favorite. She lives to have a very close, emotional, dependent relationship with her person. She loves like no other and gets attached to her 1 person to a degree I've never experienced until her. She is always on my shoulder while I eat on the couch.. and you must be quick because she swipes your food before you can blink! You watch... and you're going to laugh because I warned you about it. She also loves to sleep on my chest and attempt to give you "love you" eyes for hours, so you know she loves you. Don't ask me to explain.. she just loves her main person. Don't get me wrong, she doesn't have issues with anyone, but she LIVES for her main friend. If you put your hand out, she stands on her back feet just so her head can reach your hand... she talks to you, but not obsessively like a few others at the bar. ...but she is head alpha all the way. This is why I think she'd be best in a bar without other cats. I think she can tolerate an older behaved dog that has been around cats, but not if said dog also sleeps on you... I'm telling you she push and bite him out of the way. She is my favorite girl... so she will be the one I am extra picky about. She just turned 3 in September. She will probably be ready in 4-6 weeks, has no health issues, and will be $700-800.

Brandy and Barista possibly looking for new bars in December. I seem to have collected a lot of cats that are related to Guinness, so I am thinking I would like to have some new blood at the bar. Depending on how well Brandy's delivery goes... I may retire her early (just turned 1). Barista is also 1 AND a polydactyl, but has been unable to get pregnant, so my plan is to give her until Nov/Dec and then spay her. Both are super sweet, and if your animal has experience with cats, I think they both could adapt. Barista is a little bit of an alpha, so she may not like another female cat who feels she owns their bar. Other than that, they both are easy going. Barista likes to give a longggg meow when she wants something while Brandy looks for signs that you're inviting her over to pet. I love both of these girls to death and don't forsee anyone else not loving them. They both make it easy.

We are not looking for homes "TODAY" for Brandy and Barista, but I am throwing it out there in case I do decide to spay them (high probability). Both of these young girls with no medical problems will be $1000-1800. I haven't decided.

In the meantime, we will be offering up new pints as well as looking for new spirits to fill our shelves.

Those that get a pint from us really wanted a seat at our bar. We can't predict bad years or good ones... This extremely slow year has left us very stressed as we want to please everyone, but some things are out of our hands. We are working our hardest to become fully stocked again, but the process is not fast (for you or for me). ...so thank you for your patience.
