Happy Hour Alert - Syrah X Cuba Libre (Maine Coon Kittens)

The tap is finally opening again…

This round features all of Syrah's pints. I will take one for the team and hold myself back from keeping one despite this being a "stronger" than usual brew. Also because I know I have Abita who is from this same pairing. She is literally perfect and has her mom's extremely clingy personality, so I am very confident about these guys.

A few things to know before you pull up a stool…

This is a sweet, easygoing brew. All five are relatively chill and drama-free "so far." Both current brews have been extremely impressive with their litterbox training. 0 accidents... EVER. They only went when moms or I stimulated them several times a day since birth. I started putting them in their boxes at 3 weeks every few hours and... the rest has been stress free for me. Usually when there are a lot of pints, there's a few bad drunks that make it hard to learn because they confuse the others by leaving scents in the wrong places. I feel very blessed to have these smarties.

None of them are particularly hyper. These are more sip your drink types.

If we had to crown a lap champion, that title goes to Betty Lou Who — longest sitter and an all-around sweetheart.

That said… their personalities are still unfolding. When they were confined to their early setup in the playpen, they were calmer and more needy. Now they’ve got full run of the living room, and it shows. They want to explore. They want to play. They want to be part of whatever WrestleMania match is happening in the corner. Still sweet… just more free-spirited.

Also important: there are a few very popular pints in this brew, and there is only one of each. If you come in set on only one with no flexibility, know you may have to wait another round. It is what it is.... I can't pop a replica out that doesn't exist "yet" and know there is always another patron just as deserving as you. I try to seat the longest seated first, BUT a lot of times I choose a first timer because their lifestyle or personality is a better fit. I never choose someone because they are cooler (and some ARE patrons I'd have a drink with every day...) ....I only choose people based on what I feel a pint needs and if you seem normal. Normal ain't easy nowadays, trust me. ...but don’t stress if this isn’t your round — we have several upcoming litters planned that are just as strong… if not stronger.
