Happy Hour - Top Shelf Male at an Unbeatable Price
UPDATE: HE HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME. We plan on retiring another male or two in the next 6 months, so stay tuned. We will not take requests prior to them being listed.
One of our Top Shelf gentlemen is officially closing out his tab!
After several years behind the bar (he JUST turned 3), our handsome Yuengling is more than ready to form a deep connection with his person.
Now, if you’ve been around here long enough, you already know that opportunities to bring home one of our retired Top Shelf males are few and far between. Our boys don’t close out their tabs very often, and when they do, it’s kind of a big deal around here! ...but before everybody starts fighting over who gets to buy this gentleman his retirement drinks, let’s talk about the man himself.
First things first, Yuengling is NOT one of those enormous Maine Coon males everyone seems to expect. He’s a perfectly average-sized guy... Personality-wise, Yuengling is a little more of a whiskey-on-the-rocks kind of guy. He’s not handing out affection to every stranger who walks into the bar. You’ve got to earn your place at his table first. He is genuinely sweet and sitting on our laps and spending time with his people but he equally likes his window time. He's someone who likes to be touched but gets to that point... he's done. He still wants to be with you, just wants you to enjoy him being near you.
He has NEVER sprayed *knock on wood* ...and if you know anything about intact male cats, this is practically worth raising a glass over!
That said, Yuengling has spent several years living the life of a stud. Transitioning back into regular household life will be an adjustment, and we’re looking for someone who understands that patience is part of the deal (although I think it will be easy and very enjoyable for him).
He gets along beautifully with our females, but we’re uncertain how he’d feel about sharing his retirement home with another dominant or alpha-type cat. He's not a fan of Fireball's "youthful over playful" ways. He's like calm down boy... and is not a fan. For those reasons, we don’t feel a home with newborns or toddlers would be the best fit. This guy needs a calm home to start off in ...and then I think he'd adjust fine and you will feel lucky to have premium pint.
🍻 HAPPY HOUR APPLICATION
If you’d like to be considered as Yuengling’s retirement bartender, please answer EVERY question below. Incomplete applications will not be considered. We’re making a very important decision for a boy who has been part of our family for years, so the more thoughtful and detailed your answers, the better!
HIS PRICE IS $800.
1. Full name:
2. Complete home address (including city, state, and ZIP code):
3. phone number and email
4. Have you owned cats before? Please tell us about your experience with cats?
5. How many pets currently live in your home? Please include their species, breed, age, sex, and temperament.
6. If you currently have cats, how do you think they would respond to Yuengling? Are any of them particularly dominant or territorial?
7. Who lives in your household? Please include the ages of all household members, including children.
8. Are you willing to continue feeding Yuengling the food he’s currently accustomed to? He's on a mixture of foods.
9. Yuengling is accustomed to using an EXTRA-LARGE litter box. I'm not sure he "needs" the exact one but he will need something very big to start with to make his adjustment go well. One the left is the only thing he's ever used, but I think he could do okay with this exact (or equal) litterbox). You will need to show proof of purchasing at least 2 of the boxes shown on the right... or buy 1 of the containers on the left.

10. Yuengling will need time, patience, and understanding as he transitions from breeding life into retirement. How would you help him settle into your home?
12. What does a typical day look like in your household? Is your home generally quiet and relaxed, or busy with lots of activity?
13. Will Yuengling be indoors or indoors/outdoors?
14.How do you plan to pick him up?
15.Email us with pictures of your family and where he will actually live? A pic or two of the inside of your home. I don't want AI crap ...and yes, it happened a lot last time.
• A snapshot of your living room and kitchen ...not in perfect form, and I will run it through to see if it has been edited. For pete's sake, just give me a picture of your real life room.
This is a wonderful opportunity to own not just a maine coon but a gorgeous one from Mitcha Coontails.
