The taps open Friday at 9:00 a.m. for our Married with Children Brew.
Al Bundy and Peg Bundy will be attending Happy Hour.
Kelly Bundy is still aging behind the bar and will likely remain on hold for a couple more weeks. Patrons are still welcome to submit an application for her, understanding she may stay.
Bud is reserved and Marcy is also on hold for me, BUT if I do not choose her to stay... she has a bar.
I know some of you will be bummed that not all the pints are attending, but I can’t win either way . If I had them all at Happy Hour just to make everyone feel like you’ve got a chance, you’d be just as sad after finding out I served someone else.
I’m unlike most breeders who prioritize past patrons EVERY time… I don’t always think it’s fair for those who’ve never been served, especially when they’ve been pulling up a barstool and attending Happy Hour for over a year. So yes, I will often choose them. However, past patrons do come before patrons who have not been applying for a year because they are family.
As I told those who did not get served during our last Happy Hour (LIVE event)…
I do not select strictly based on who has waited the longest. However, length of time does heavily factor into my decision when a home is a good match for a particular pint. There are many times (like 80% of the time) patrons all order the same 1-2 males, so many newer patrons end up getting served.
My goal is to be as fair as possible, so know it killllllls me as well each time I have to write someone and say I don’t have a pint for them… especially when I genuinely wanted to get you seated at the bar. I do NOT say I’m really trying unless I honestly feel that way about someone.
I know waiting can be difficult, but there’s a reason some places never have a wait. There’s a reason many people come here… and just sit at the bar.
I hate being on someone’s waitlist for a long time, but waiting for a top-shelf pour is a different feeling. Settling for a cheap pint never feels satisfying ...and you're okay with it but wish you took the extra time to get what you really wanted. Each time I finally get chosen for one of the pints I’ve waited for in Europe… I’ve never regretted it.
We have TWO new males coming to Mitcha Coontails by the end of the year, so trust me... I KNOW what waiting feels like.
Most people waiting here KNOW they only want a Mitcha Coontails pint.
I will never beg you to stay at the bar.
Leanne
